You just vacuum or simply shake the rug. The backing keeps the door mat firmly in place and reduces the risk of slipping. Mats are 99.5 % coir, 0.5 % polyethylene with a latex backing.

Care Instructions TO PROLONG THE LIFE YOUR MAT - I recommend the mat to be kept in a sheltered area. Great for indoor use as well! - Direct rain, snow, and constant sunlight will make the mat fade faster. If the mats gets wet: Flip the mat over allowing the water to drain. Then, allow the mat dry in the sun. Initial shedding after the first month of use is expected. If you are needing your mat in a certain time frame, please message to discuss.
